Mitsuiline Air Service Co., Ltd. was founded with Mitsui Steamship Co., Ltd., Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Mitsui Fudosan, Co., Ltd. as major shareholders.
Absorbed Taiyodo Travel Co. and authorized as IATA Registered Passenger Sales Agent.

December, 1961Authorized as the Registered International & Domestic Travel Agency (No. 52) approved by the Ministry of Transport.

May, 1964The company name changed to Mitsui Travel Service Co., Ltd.

July, 1964Authorized as Money Changer by the Ministry of Finance.

March, 1968Number of shareholders increased to 17 companies with capital participation of 12 Mitsui group companies.

July, 1989Amalgamated with Shosen Air Service Co., Ltd., a company established by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., and Sumitomo Corporation as major shareholders to form a company with the new trade name of M. O. Air System, Inc.
Its travel division operated under the name of M. O. Tourist. -
July, 2001Two divisions of M.O. Air System, Inc.: international transport business division and travel business division were separated with the travel business division starting independent operation as M.O. Tourist Co., Ltd.
